The breakfast was rich - lots of dishes. All the staff was knowledgeable and respectful, settled my issues. The location was peaceful and easy, just 5 min walk from a huge plaza. What's more, it was next to Hop on Hop off buses, Madrid, and Plaza Mayor.
The staff - some of them were not very helpful.

The breakfast was sumptuous with fried eggs made to order! It had central location close to Downtown. There was a good restaurant relatively close to the hotel.
Well, Wi-Fi was pretty slow.

Superb central location, accessibility for shopping, well-maintained public areas
The air conditioning system is a joke!!! Instead of real AC, guests get central air that barely works. The noise from nearby street activities can be unbearable. Improvements in soundproofing and room temperature control would be hugely beneficial!!!

I visit the Liabeny periodically and it always leaves me pleasantly surprised. attention of the staff is excellent, attentive, careful. new rooms are very nice and elegant, beds are very comfortable, wifi is perfect and breakfast is incredible.
While what I didn't like doesn't change my perception of the hotel, I only mention these aspects as suggestions for improvement because they deserve it. I stayed in one of the new, recently finished rooms and there are aspects of the design that don't work very well. As there is no space left for the desk chair, front legs have to be mounted on a base under the table which doesn't look good. room has very few windows; very small one (that doesn't open), where the blind was in a very bad state and a skylight on the ceiling, was covered with a paper to keep the light out, still lit up from early on. shower door needs a handle to close it from the inside. full-length mirror is needed, at least for the women, other thing is that there was no furniture to leave the luggage in. finally, in the showers a safety bar is always welcome to hold on to when you are no longer young.

The room was very spacious and comfortable, with different rooms. separated. The beds were very firm and comfortable, very quiet. The wardrobe was in a separate room, with space to leave the suitcases, along with the refrigerator. The bathroom, well equipped, with hairdryer and. bath screen. Very good.
When I arrived, around 3pm, I parked my car in the garage and warned the reception, in case they wanted to register my registration. They told me that they were taking it into account and that "it was controlled".. The next day I paid my bill and when I was ready to take my car out of the car park, the car park staff asked me if I was staying at the hotel. I had to leave my car and go back up to the reception, queue again and pay another bill. It was ten minutes, but they made me feel like I was trying to get out of paying, when I wasn't. I noticed when I arrived at the hotel that my car was in the car park. Which by the way was quite expensive, 22 euros/day.

The hotel is very good.. Very nice and comfortable, with new facilities. Very central and accessible.. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean and with all the comforts.. The very nice bar and restaurant, for breakfast, with varied options.. The staff is friendly and attentive. And diligent in solving some problems, as the door did not open with the keys and we changed it for another room.
A little less diligent were they in fixing another problem, which I understand was punctual, but they had a failure.. After a scare with the shower screen (it got stuck and couldn't be opened from the inside), being already out of the bathroom, that door fell down. That it was a scare and did not hurt anyone, the main problem is that the person to whom it happened warned the staff and when I returned after all day out (there were two of us but we had different schedules and this happened without me), I asked about the event, they told me that I was still to answer the email they asked me to write to whoever had happened and that it should be fixed, but no, the shower door was still down. They apologized to me and changed his room quickly and were very diligent in that regard. My complaint is not so much about the event itself, which can happen, but about the regular management of the fact that after all the day I went and had given notice, I found the thing unfixed. Even so, this was punctual and, in general, the hotel is very good.

I was at the hotel twice, two nights at the beginning of my trip and two nights a week later in a triple room. third bed is an armchair bed that in the first stay was a single bed and in the second was a double bed, much more comfortable obviously. In the first stay there was a lack of towels for all three of them and shower exchanger did not work. In the second stay, they gave me a room in the area that you can see is being remodeled and it looked like another hotel. There were no more towels. Everything worked and third bed was a two-seater that they made and undid each time. I did late check out and they announced that they would charge 55 euros, I accepted but when we came to use the room, they had dismantled it and our flight was leaving in an hour and a half. good thing was that they only charged me euros 25 for the inconvenience. location of the hotel is excellent. I would say that you should always ask for a remodeled room. Good attention from the concierges who came up twice to weigh our bags. Recommended hotel
The third bed in the triple room. It's an armchair bed

The hotel is well placed to access all the city highlights, and is perfectly adequate in all other respects. We did not experience or use the hotel services otherwise, eating all meals out, etc.
